May 23, 2024, CSG-PVTech's latest product, the crystalline silicon BIPV module, successfully obtained dual certification from TÜV North Germany for the new IEC 61215:2021/IEC 61730:2023 standards and IEC 63092-1:2020 photovoltaic building standards. This significant dual certification underscores the exceptional quality and reliable performance of CSG-PVTech's BIPV modules, and reaffirms the high recognition from both the market and institutions regarding the company's technical R&D and product prowess.
Given the substantial disparities in building-related safety requirements across various countries and regions, achieving a universally applicable BIPV module standard remains unfeasible. However, the IEC 63092-1:2020 standard is recognized in domestic markets, Europe, and North America. This standard outlines the requirements for buildings and applicable electrical systems and categorizes BIPV products into five application classes: A, B, C, D, and E. After undergoing a series of professional experimental tests, including reliability, mechanical performance, fire resistance, and noise resistance, CSG-PVTech successfully obtained certification for application classes A, B, and C.
Simultaneously, the IEC new standard certification, IEC 61730:2023, was issued. This standard builds upon IEC 61215 and updates the safety design requirements for components. It enhances testing standards such as sharp edge tests, pulse withstand voltage tests, reverse overcurrent tests, material creep tests, wet and hot tests, and insulation compatibility assessments. These updates impose higher demands on pv modules’ R&D and production technology levels and make the evaluation of module reliability and safety even more stringent.
TÜV Nord stands as one of the most authoritative assessment standards in the photovoltaic industry. The successful attainment of the "double certification" signifies the recognition of CSG-PVTech's BIPV component products by regulatory authorities. It further underscores the company's continued global leadership in technological innovation, quality assurance, and reliability within the photovoltaic industry.
